Absentee voting will be available for those eligible voters who will not be in town on the election dates.  You should email the labor board at unmlaborboard@comcast.net to request your absentee ballot.  Absentee ballots must be requested by Oct. 1 (we understand the labor board has extended this to Oct. 4) and ballots must be received by Thursday, October 17.  Here is the latest information we have on absentee voting:

1.   Request are made to the labor board at unmlaborboard@comcast.net.  You can also mail your request if you prefer.
2.   Requests must be received by October 1.
3.   Requests should include the reason one cannot vote in person on October 16 or 17.  Generally, work related trips out of town, scheduled medical procedures, or living out of state would fall under acceptable categories.
4.  You should include the address to mail the ballot.
5.  Ballots must be received by Oct 17 and will be counted with the in person ballots on Oct 18.
We will keep you updated as we continue to receive information about our elections!  Please feel free to contact us with any questions at info@uaunm.org.
