Dear UA-UNM Colleagues,
Your UA-UNM Bargaining Team spent six hours in mediation with the UNM Administration on Friday. The good news is that we reached tentative agreement on the Workload Article, which includes requirements for broad faculty input on the development of workload policies, including on the determination of standard class size ranges. This is a huge victory, as securing faculty input on workload was a key priority. Workload issues are among the most common grievances.
We were hoping to finalize the contract last Friday, but we still have two Articles left to resolve. Mediation continues on February 13th.
Though we continue to face many uncertainties right now, one thing that is always certain is that there is power in a union! Join our fight and become a dues-paying member of UA-UNM here!
