Dear UA-UNM Colleagues,
Welcome back to the second half of the semester! We hope you had a restful and rejuvenating spring break.
Congratulations to Unit 2 members for ratification of your new Collective Bargaining Agreement! Unit 2 members overwhelmingly voted to ratify this new contract, which has many important wins, including providing clear paths to promotion and benefits eligibility to those with a load of .50 FTE (previously only available to people with .75 FTE or greater).
Other important UA-UNM voting is underway! If you are a dues-paying member, you should have received a ballot from OpaVote on March 12. Please remember to vote to ratify changes to our Constitution that will improve democratic processes within our union. Your individual link to vote will remain open until March 25 – make sure your voice is heard. For more information on the proposed Constitutional changes, see the slides from our March 5 General Membership Meeting.
Also, UA-UNM officer elections are coming up next month, so if you’re not a dues-paying member, please join here to be eligible to vote. Keep reading below for a list of upcoming UA-UNM events.
