Dear UA-UNM Colleagues,
As we await the UNM Administration’s response to our last, best, and final offer at the negotiating table, we continue to build our union power. For example, UA-UNM’s Organizing Committee just received a $20,000 Mobilization Grant from AAUP to support our organizing efforts! If you haven’t done so already, you can help by joining your union and encouraging your colleagues to join here.
Another super important way you can participate is to attend the twice yearly General Membership Meetings. This is a chance to build community with your colleagues, hear from your union leaders, and share your input. The Fall General Membership Meeting is Thursday, October 16 at 5:00pm in the PAIS Building (starting with dinner in the lobby) and followed by a Happy Hour from 7:00-8:00pm at Flock of Moons (only 1 block away)! A Zoom option will be available. RSVP here!
Becoming a Steward is an additional way to strengthen your union! The first UA-UNM Stewards Council meeting will be Tuesday, September 23 at 1:00pm on Zoom. If you are still considering becoming a UA-UNM Steward, your union needs you! Please plan to attend this meeting and fill out this form.
